Milan Cathedral - Duomo

The duomo in Milan is awesome... and probably the most well-known structure in the city.

Fun fact... the duomo took nearly SIX CENTURIES to complete! (And they often joke that it's still not done... and never will be. There is constantly work being done on it.) It is the 5th largest cathedral in the world (...at least Wikipedia says so.) AND it has more than 3,400 unique statues on it!! Whoa.

We took a trip into the city for the first time and a returning teacher brought us on a 'walking tour'. A trip to the city is just a quick bus ride and then a tram ride from Opera... about 20-30 minutes. Easy enough. We began at the duomo...
